Salary:

€1,205 (net pay) per month during 3 years

Applications are invited for a 3 years Modern Irish and Irish Civilisation teaching. This teaching is funded by Ciste na Gaeilge, Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Na Forbacha, Gaillimh, Éire/Ireland.

The successfull candidate will need to be able to take up the post no later than 21 september 2009.

Job description

Applicants should have a native or equivalent command of Irish. They should have experience of teaching Irish.

The course would emphasize spoken Irish. It will be about gaining confidence to use Irish in practical situations, with priority given to speaking and listening skills. It would mainly target students at BA, Honours and Masters level.

Qualification in Old Irish (not compulsory) will be appreciated to have a seminar on this domain.
